Certification Program Overview

The PVI Certification Program provides education, training materials, and resources designed to help fitness and wellness professionals work more effectively with individuals living with Parkinson’s disease.

Completion of the Certification Program indicates that the Participant has met PVI’s educational requirements. Certification does not constitute a medical license, clinical credential, or healthcare qualification.

Eligibility

The Certification Program is intended for:

- Fitness professionals

- Trainers and coaches

- Wellness and movement professionals

Participants are responsible for ensuring that their participation complies with all local, state, and national laws governing fitness, wellness, or professional practice in their jurisdiction.

Scope of Practice Disclaimer

PVI Certification:

- Does not authorize diagnosis, treatment, or medical advice

- Does not replace medical, physical therapy, or neurological care

- Does not grant the right to represent oneself as a medical professional unless separately licensed

Certified Trainers must operate strictly within their professional scope of practice and are responsible for referring clients to qualified healthcare professionals when appropriate.

Use of Certification & Branding

Upon successful completion of the Certification Program, Participants may:

- Use the title “PVI-Certified Trainer”

- Reference their certification in marketing and professional materials

Participants may not:

- Alter or modify PVI logos, trademarks, or certification language

- Misrepresent PVI Certification as medical treatment or therapy

- Imply endorsement beyond the scope of certification

PVI reserves the right to revoke certification for misuse or misrepresentation.

Program Access & Delivery

- Certification content is delivered online through a secure Learning Management System (LMS).

- Login credentials are sent via email after enrollment.

- Participants are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login information.

PVI is not responsible for access issues caused by incorrect email entry, spam filters, or technical issues outside its control.

Fees, Payments & Refunds

- Certification fees are disclosed at the time of enrollment.

- Payments are processed securely through third-party payment providers.

Refund Policy:
Unless otherwise stated in writing, all certification purchases are non-refundable once access to the course materials has been granted.

Continuing Access & Updates

PVI may update course content, materials, or resources periodically to reflect best practices or program improvements.
Access duration and ongoing resources may vary based on certification or membership level.

Participant Responsibilities

Participants agree to:

- Complete the Certification Program honestly and independently

- Use the training methods responsibly and safely

- Maintain professional conduct with clients and the PVI community

PVI is not responsible for injuries, outcomes, or client results arising from improper use of the training material.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

- PVI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

- Participation is voluntary and undertaken at the Participant’s own risk

Participants assume full responsibility for how certification knowledge is applied in practice.

Termination or Revocation

PVI reserves the right to suspend or revoke certification if a Participant:

- Violates these Terms & Conditions

- Engages in unethical or unsafe practices

- Misrepresents PVI or the Certification Program

Modifications to Terms

PVI may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Continued participation after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Parkinson’s Vitality Institute operates.
